The recalled break-action, spring air rifles include Crosman Model numbers RM177, RM177X, RM677, RM677X, RM877 and RM622 that were produced before August 2001. Models produced after that time are not included in this recall. The recalled air rifles have brown wood stocks, black barrels, and blue and white striped spacers on the butt plate. The RM622 shoots .22 caliber airgun pellets; the other models shoot .177 caliber airgun pellets. The RM177X and RM677X were sold with scopes. Each barrel is imprinted with the model number and the words, "Manufactured for Crosman Corp. by Mendoza."
These are Sparkling Symphony™ Mobile crib toys that attach to the crib side rail and play music and lights that are activated by remote control. Four star and moon characters are suspended from the mobile, which turns. The recalled toys have model number 71985 found on both the lower arm of the mobile and the back of the remote control. The Fisher-Price logo appears at the top of the upper arm, over the silver decoration. The recalled mobiles were manufactured from October 1999 through November 2000. A date code is located on the upper arm of the mobile and on the back of the remote control. Consumers should contact Fisher Price with their date code to determine if their mobile is part of the recall.
The recalled nightlights have a yellow exterior shaped like a smiley face. A label on the back of the nightlight reads, "Trisonic, 4W/120V custom made in China for Trisonic, Queens, NY, TS-45431."
The recalled Little People® Animal Sounds Farms are shaped like a barn and make animal sounds when the doors of the cow or horse stall are opened. The recalled toys have a model number of 77973 or 77746 and a six-character manufacturing date code that begins with 168 through 212, followed by the number 2 as the fourth digit. Both the model number and date code can be found on the underside of the green ramp. The Fisher-Price logo appears at the top of the tallest side of the barn in red and white.
These are Kodak DC5000-model cameras. The brand name and model number are written on the front of the camera at the bottom right-hand corner. All DC5000 cameras carry a plate on the bottom of the camera containing the Kodak product identifier reading "KJCAA" followed by an eight-digit serial number. The serial number range is 01800001 through 11700825. This recall includes the DC5000 model only. No other Kodak cameras are affected by this recall.
CONTACT: February 22, 1990 (301) 504-7908 Release # 90-040 Aerosol String Streamers Recalled For Propellant Flammability WASHINGTON, D.C.- - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced today the voluntary recall of five different brands of aerosol string streamers. These products, used like confetti at birthday parties and other gatherings, are hazardous if sprayed near an open flame, due to the flammability of the propellant used with the products. The companies participating in this recall are Northeast Imports, Inc., Central Falls, RI; Masquerade, Inc., Brooklyn, NY; Topstone Industries, Inc., Danbury, CT; Franco-American Novelty, Co., Inc., Glendale, NY; and Fun World Inc., Carle Place, N.Y. Tests by the CPSC show that these products, marketed during the past year, are flammable and therefore banned under provisions of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act because of their use by children. Use of these products around flame sources such as birthday candles could result in serious burn injuries if the spray contacts a flame. The CPSC learned of this problem through consumer complaints to its hotline. Reports of serious burn injuries to both children and adults involving these and similar products have been investigated. Typically the victims are burned during birthday parties when friends or family spray the string streamer near or onto the candles of a birthday cake. The products are packaged in aerosol cans having various colored plastic overcaps indicating the color of the string streamer inside the can. Individual product identification is as follows: - Northeast Imports, Inc., Central Falls, RI 3.5 oz. cans having a lithographed or paper label with a green background labeled in part "Streamer Spray" - Masquerade, Inc., Brooklyn, NY 150 gram cans having a lithographed label with a white background labeled in part "MASQUERADE CRAZY STRINGS" - Topstone Industries, Inc., Danbury, CT 3.5 oz. cans having a lithographed label with a black background labeled in part "Tricky Fun String Environmentally Safe Contains No Fluorocarbons". (Cans of Tricky Fun String without this statement do not present the flammability hazard and are not being recalled.) - Franco-American Novelty Co., Inc., Glendale, NY 3.5 oz. cans having a lithographed label with a blue background labeled in part "GOOFY FLYING STRING" - Fun World Inc., Carle Place, NY 3.5 oz. and 7 oz. cans having a lithographed label reading in part "ITS FUN TYME! STRING CONFETTI" and an added clear adhesive label reading "SAFE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT FLUOROCARBON FREE." "STRING CONFETTI" cans which have had the clear adhesive label removed because of use are also being recalled. A total of approximately 1,135,000 cans of all five brands of string streamer were sold nationwide during the past year for less than $5.00 per can at retail. Consumers should immediately discontinue the use of these products and return them to the retail store where purchased for a full refund of the purchase price
Stuffed Teddy Bear Toys Recalled by Far East International NEWS from CPSC U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Office of Information and Public Affairs Washington, DC 20207 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 27, 1981 Release # 81-009 Stuffed Teddy Bear Toy Animals Recalled To Eliminate Safety Hazards WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 27) -- An estimated 23,000 children's stuffed teddy bears distributed nationwide by a New York importer are being recalled by the importer in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission because the toys may present safety hazards which could injure young children. Testing of the toy animals by CPSC showed that a substantial percentage of the noses and eyes of the teddy bears could be pulled off easily, thus posing a potential choking hazard. The tests, simulating normal use and abuse of the toys by a young child, were performed on a random sample of the teddy bears; they have been determined to be "banned hazardous substances" under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. The teddy bears were manufactured in Korea and distributed nationwide to toy stores by Far East International, Inc., of New York City. Product code tags on the potentially hazardous toys are numbered 202-50, 202-94, 202-95 or 202-219. Another label sewn to the leg of each teddy bear reads "Sunkyung Limited. Made in Korea." Consumers are being urged to mail their children's teddy bears directly to Far East International at 1182 Broadway, Room 901, New York, New York, 10001. The company will provide full refunds or another toy animal of comparable value and will reimburse consumers for mailing costs. The importer also will alert each of its retail customers to the safety hazards and to the procedures to be followed in carrying out the recall. The company has stopped making further shipments of these teddy bears.
