A defect in the inversion valve may delay park brake engagement, which could allow the vehicle to move unintentionally. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

With the parking brake applied and the automatic transmission in the 'Drive' or 'Reverse' position, and when the stationary PTO switch is engaged by the operator, the engine RPM will ramp up and may overcome the parking brake's ability to hold the vehicle.

The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high-pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

Depending on the specific wiring of the vehicle, these brake lights may illuminate when the brake pedal is not being pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective devices, and Associated Equipment."
