The recalled bicycle frames include the following model year and model names: 2007 Team DH, 2008 Team DH, Aline Park, Aline, Atomik, Shore 1,2,3, 2009 Atomik (without gussets). All colors are included in the recall and the model name is printed on a decal on the top tube of each frame/bike.

Only the Performance Forte Flyte OS Carbon Road handlebars and the Supergo Weyless OS Carbon Road handlebars are included in the recall. Both handlebars are natural carbon gray. The Performance Forte Flyte has printing along the top of the handlebar. On the left front is "Forte" in red, and on the right front is "Flyte." On the right top is "ACT" in large white letters and "Advanced Carbon Technology" in smaller letters. The Supergo Weyless handlebar says "Weyless" in white and has a red oval with "Full Carbon Composite" printed in white. On the left side is "CF" in red, "200" in white, and "Hi-Pressure Solid Compaction" in white. The Performance handlebars were sold separately, not as part of a bicycle. The Supergo handlebars were sold separately and as part of the 2004 Scattante SC-R bicycle.

Announce Recall of Campus Bicycle Pedals Washington, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Performance Inc. of Chapel Hill, N.C., is recalling 3,650 pairs of the Performance Campus bicycle pedals. The axle on some pedals can break, causing the rider to lose control of the bicycle, fall and be injured. Performance has received 10 reports of pedal axles breaking. No injuries have been reported. These clipless pedals are black and chrome, and can be identified by inspecting the axle. The recalled model axle is hollow for 1 inch deep inside the axle, measuring from the crank side of the pedal. The replacement pedal axle is hollow for only 3/16 inch deep inside the axle measuring from the crank side of the pedal. "PERFORMANCE" is written on the end of the pedals. Performance stores nationwide sold these pedals from December 1996 through April 1998 for about $50. The pedals also were sold through the Performance catalogs during this time period. Consumers should stop using bicycles with these pedals immediately. Owners of recalled pedal will receive a free replacement pair of Performance Campus pedals. Consumers can bring their bicycles to a Performance store to have their pedals inspected and replaced if needed. Announce Bicycle Recall WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Performance Inc. of Chapel Hill, N.C., is voluntarily recalling about 5,000 bicycles with defective seat posts manufactured by Polygon Industries Corp. of Taiwan, R.O.C. The seat posts have a clamp bolt under them, which can break or fracture. Riders could be seriously injured by losing control of a bicycle with a broken seat post. Performance has received five reports of the seat posts failing, resulting in minor injuries, including cuts and bruises. Performance bicycles, models X203, X204, M603, M604, M704, and M705, are equipped with a defective PM-215 seat post. Performance bicycle stores and the Performance mail order catalog sold the bicycles nationwide from March 1993 through April 1996 for between $300 and $500, depending on the model. Consumers should stop using the bicycles immediately and call Performance's Technical Department at (800) 553-8324 or return the bicycles to the nearest Performance Bicycle Shop, where the seat post clamp bolt will be replaced free-of-charge.
