Prestone Products LLC (Prestone) is recalling certain 1-gallon bottles of Prestone DOT 3 Brake Fluid, part number AS402 with date code 2PW24226 manufactured on August 13, 2024. The brake fluid bottles may contain power steering fluid.
The recall involves Shop Pro RV & Marine Antifreeze products manufactured by Prestone for AutoZone. Only bottles filled with blue fluid in one-gallon, clear bottles with date code FT21281 on the bottom of the bottle below the back label are included in the recall. "Shop Pro RV & Marine Antifreeze" is printed on the front of the bottles. If your bottle is filled with pink liquid, it is properly labeled, and it can be used.
This recall involves fourteen different models of pre-diluted or concentrated antifreeze sold under six different brand names: Prestone®, AutoZone®, Highline®/Prime Guard®, Supertech®, Prime® and Starfire®. The one-gallon antifreeze bottles are black, gray, orange, white or yellow. The brand is printed on the front of the antifreeze. The date code and model numbers can be found on the back informational panel of the product. This recall involves two products: Prestone Windshield De-Icer and Prestone Ice & Frost Shield. The Windshield De-Icer (SKU AS-246) is used to melt ice on vehicle windshields and windows. The De-Icer was sold in a clear yellow 32-ounce trigger spray plastic bottle with a black tip on the nozzle. The Prestone Ice & Frost Shield (SKU AS-247) is used to reduce morning frost, light ice and snow on vehicle windshields, windows and wiper blades. The Frost Shield was sold in a clear yellow 32-ounce trigger spray plastic bottle with a yellow trigger pull. The SKU number is printed on the bottom left of the back label.
