A limited number of packages of 1 ounce Somersault Pacific Sea Salt products were inadvertently mispackaged - Somersault Santa Fe Salsa flavored product were inadvertently commingled with Somersault Pacific Sea Salt flavored product in packages labeled as Somersault Pacific Sea Salt.
During ingredient review for kosher certification, the firm discovered that the finished product package did not bear a milk allergen declaration, although a flavor ingredient was found to contain milk
Consumer complaints and subsequent investigation found that packages of Pacific Sea Salt snack crackers had some Santa Fe Salsa snack crackers mixed in. Santa Fe Salsa crackers contain milk protein which is not declared on the ingredient labeling.
