Bicycle Stems (3T) – Defective Component (2002)

The recalled stems are black and have the model name 3T ZEPP XL printed in white on the sides of the body of the stem. The faceplate also has "3T" printed in white at the front of the stem. The stems were installed on 2002 and 2003 model year Cannondale bicycles. The recalled stems were manufactured in Italy by 3T (Tecno Tubo Torino) and distributed by parent company, Gruppo, SPA.

Cable Set-Top Boxes (Motorola) – Unspecified Issue (2002)

These digital cable set-top boxes are black, about 17 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. "MOTOROLA" and "INTERACTIVE DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS" are written on the front of the units. The model number, "DCT2000" is written on the cover of the user guide that came with the box. Motorola's DCT2000 set-top box provides cable subscribers access to various digital, audio, and interactive TV services, including expanded channel counts; digital-quality video and audio; interactive program guides for viewing convenience and control; parental control; and virtual channels for community and local information.

350 Electric ATV (Yamaha) – Safety Inspection (2002)

These 1997 and 1998 model year ATVs have "350 Electric" written on both sides of the bodywork. The ATVs are either red and white, or gray and blue. Hot Water Dispensers (In-Sink-Erator) – Potential Safety Issue (2002)

The recalled hot water dispensers are half-gallon capacity models, made in the USA and sold under various brand names, including In-Sink- Erator®, ISE®, Steamin' Hot®, Emerson®, Dayton™, ACE™, Kenmore® and Kohler™. The serial number (S/N) is printed on a specification plate attached to the metal holding tank. This recall involves instant hot water dispensers with serial numbers (some begin with two letters) 999- 10 or those that fall between 1000 and 3084000. One-third gallon capacity instant hot water dispensers manufactured by In-Sink-Erator are not involved in this recall.

Zmaster Z100 Riding Mower (Toro) – Performance Risk (2002)

The recall includes Toro-brand Zmaster Z100 series riding mowers. They are red, equipped with 17 to 23 horsepower engines and have mowing decks from 44 to 52 inches. The mowers have independently controlled rear-drive wheels, front casters, and a centrally mounted mowing deck. The brand and model names (Toro Zmaster) appear on the front of the mower. Some of these riding mowers previously were recalled in March 2001. Even if consumers previously had their riding mower repaired, they need to contact Toro for this additional repair. Toro Timecutter Z and Wheel Horse residential duty riding mowers are not part of this recall.

Vector Power Inverters (Vector) – Electrical Failure (2002)

Power inverters convert DC voltage to AC voltage to allow the operation of household products using battery power. The recalled power inverters have a red, yellow or black rectangular- shaped body with white or gray electrical outlets on the side, next to the volt and amp meters. The outlets on the recalled inverters have "TEST" and "RESET" buttons. The recall involves Toro and Exmark mowers equipped with engine sizes from 17 to 26 HP and mowing deck widths from 44 to 72 inches. Toro and Exmark commercial dealers sold these riding mowers nationwide between January 1998 through March 2001 for between $6300 to $11,200. The mowers can be identified from a decal located on the right side of the operating console below the seat. If so, local Exmark or Toro dealers will install a spark arrester and (selected Exmark models only) a new fuel tank for free. Registered owners should already have been contacted by letter.

Recall Dayton Motors PRODUCT: Dayton Motors - The Emerson Motor Co., of St. Louis, Mo., is recalling about 3,200 electric motors. The motors were sold under the Dayton brand name. The motors are used in many applications including carbonation machines and commercial fans. The model numbers included in the recall are 6K361B, 6K804B, and 5K887D&E. The manufacturing numbers included in the recall are MK99C, ML99C, MM99C, MA00C, MB00C, MC00C, MD00C, ME00C, MF00C and MG00C. The model and manufacturing numbers are located on the motor nameplate attached to the side of the motor. These motors were sold directly through motor distributors or repair shops from October 1999 through August 2000 for about $95. PROBLEM: If the motor is not properly grounded as instructed, the motor could become energized and cause a shock or electrocution hazard resulting in injury or death. INCIDENTS/INJURIES: None reported. WHAT TO DO: Consumers with the recalled motor should unplug it and remove from service and contact Dayton Motor Hotline for repair information. These KX65 Model Year 2000 motorcycles have a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) located on their frame behind the front fork. Recalled motorcycles carry VIN numbers with the last four digits between 0001 and 6668. The motorcycles are small, two-wheel, off-road motocross competition vehicles designed for rough terrain. The fenders and bodywork are lime green with large "Kawasaki" decals on each side.
