The recalled heat guns emit hot air and are used for paint and flooring removal, defrosting freezers and water lines, bending plastic, hobbies, etc. Recalled models include the Milwaukee Heat Gun MHT3300, ACE HT3500 Heat Gun, and the Wagner Heat Gun HT3500 with date codes V300R through Z365R and A001R through A111R. The heat gun's name and model number are located on a black label on the bottom of the heat gun's barrel. The date code is stamped into the bottom of the handle near the power cord. The heat guns are black or yellow plastic and measure about 10 inches long, 8 inches high and 3 inches wide.

Wallpaper Steamers Recall/Repair by Wagner NEWS from CPSC U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Office of Information and Public Affairs Washington, DC 20207 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Ken Giles April 7, 1997 (301) 504-7052 Release # 97-096 CPSC and Wagner Announce Recall to Repair Wallpaper Steamers WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Wagner Spray Tech Corp. of Plymouth, Minn., is repairing about 44,000 wallpaper steamers sold under the brand name "Wagner Power Steamer" (model 700). Under certain conditions, steam and hot water can forcefully escape from the unit when the filler cap is opened. Consumers can be burned by the hot water and steam. Wagner has received 5 reports of first- and second-degree burn injuries to consumers' hands, arms, legs, and feet from forcefully escaping steam and hot water. The plastic steamer is mainly gray and black with a round 1-gallon water container measuring 6.5 inches in height by 9.5 inches in diameter. The steamer has an 11.5-foot hose that connects the steamplate to the steamer. The filler cap is yellow and is attached to the end of the hose that connects to the spout of the water container. The water container and the steamplate both have yellow labels displaying model number 700 and brand name "Wagner Power Steamer." Model 700 steamers have serial numbers beginning with K and ending with N, beginning with L and ending with N, or beginning with M and ending with N. The serial number is printed in blue ink on the bottom of the water container. The steamer was packaged in a carton labeled in part, "WAGNER POWER STEAMER...Wallpaper Remover...MODEL 700." The carton displays various pictures of the steamer. Labeling on the carton is written in English, Spanish, and French. Hardware and home supply stores nationwide sold the steamers from July 1994 through February 1997 for about $70. Consumers should immediately stop using the steamers and call Wagner at (800) 686-8525 or write to the company at 1770 Fernbrook Lane, Plymouth, Minn. 55447 to receive a free replacement hose/filler cap. The steamer is to be repaired at home by replacing the old hose/filler cap with the new one.

June 11, 1992 Release # 92-090 PRODUCT: Certain system 425 and 525 airless paint sprayers byWagner Spray Tech Corporation that were distributed between March 1990 and July 1991. PROBLEM: The motor of the sprayer may catch fire if exposed to fumes from flammable solvents or coatings. Six flare-up incidents have been reported. WHAT TO DO: Call Wagner toll-free at 1-800-328-8251 extension 7170 for information and instructions regarding service centers that will make necessary modifications to the motor. WASHINGTON, DC -- Wagner Spray Tech Corporation of Minneapolis, MN, is voluntarily modifying certain system 425 and 525 airless paint sprayers to correct a problem that could result in motor fires. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), there is a potential for the motor of the sprayer to catch fire if exposed to fumes from highly flammable coatings or solvents used in painting or cleanup. The modification program covers 17,754 units that were manufactured and distributed between March 1990 and July 1991. These products were involved in six flare-ups. No injuries were reported. CPSC was informed of these incidents by Wagner. The modification program includes the 425 system, model numbers 0288048 and 0270001 (serial numbers from C900648 through G912544); and the 525 system, model numbers 0288054 and 0270002 (serial numbers from C900648 through G912544). The Wagner paint spray systems were sold in retail outlets, including home center stores, at suggested retail prices of $350 for the 425 systems and $480 for the 525 systems. Consumers who own these paint sprayers should stop using the products immediately and call Wagner toll-free at 1-800-328-8251 ext. 7170. The company will provide additional information and instructions regarding service centers that will make necessary modifications to the motor. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is announcing this modification program as part of its mission to protect the public from unreasonable risks of injury and death associated with consumer products. The Commission's objective is to reduce the estimated 28.5 million injuries and 21,600 deaths associated each year with the 15,000 different types of consumer products under CPSC's jurisdiction

November 16, 1988 Release # 88-096 Wagner To Replace Seals On Power Paint Rollers WASHINGTON, DC - Wagner Spray Tech Corporation of Minneapolis, Minn., is voluntarily offering free replacement seals, labeling and instructions on certain power paint rollers to correct a potential lid ejection problem on units manufactured between May and November, 1984.Used by do-it-yourself homeowners, the power paint roller consists of a pressure canister connected by hose to paint roller. The can of paint is placed inside the canister, the lid attached, and the paint is driven to the roller under pressure exerted by an electric powered compressor. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC), the lid may be ejected from the canister with enough force to cause injury. There have been 41 reported incidents of the ejected lids causing facial and eye injuries. Paint rollers involved in the repair program are dates coded E84 through L84 on the bottom of the unit, and were identified as model no. 0155001 on the packaging. Consumers should stop using power paint rollers within the above date codes, and call Wagner toll-free, 1-800-365-7650, or write Wagner Spray Tech Corporation, 1770 Fernbrook Lane Minneapolis, MN. 55447 for a free repair kit. The company will provide two replacement seal rings for the pressure canister, a warning label to be affixed to the lid, and new operating instructions. The Wagner power paint rollers in question were sold nationwide by a variety or retailers, including Sears, Roebuck and Co. under the Craftsman power roller label within the same date codes
