Reason for Recall
As stated by NHTSA
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain Braden Hydraulic Recovery winches, model number PD18C, sold as part numbers 05370, 05373, 05374, 05375, 05439, 05644, 06033, 06811, 06979, and 83195 by PACCAR Winches. A defective ring gear adapter might cause the winch to fail under load.

Failure of the winch may result in loss of control of the load, increasing the risk of injury.
Recommended Action
Per NHTSA guidance
PACCAR will notify owners, and dealers will test the winches, replacing any defective ring gear adapters, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2017. Owners may contact PACCAR customer service at 1-918-259-3258. PACCAR's number for this recall is 17WINA.
