Reason for Recall
As stated by NHTSA
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-730. Under certain circumstances, the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module may cause the brake lights to illuminate without the driver applying the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Recommended Action
Per NHTSA guidance
Dealers will update the software in the ABS module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 14, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C07.
