Hendrickson USA. L.L.C. is recalling certain HENDRICKSON BRIDGE AXLE equipment due to suspension:rear:axle:non-powered axle assembly issues. If one tube sleeve cracks, vehicle handling may be affected. If both tube sleeves crack, the bridge axle may detach from the vehicle. Either condition.

Reason for Recall
As stated by NHTSA
Hendrickson USA. L.L.C. (Hendrickson) is recalling certain Bridge Axles, part number B5R13X-04B, manufactured December 7, 2015, to January 11, 2016. The affected bridge axles have tube sleeves that may crack along the seam welds.
Reported concern (NHTSA)
If one tube sleeve cracks, vehicle handling may be affected. If both tube sleeves crack, the bridge axle may detach from the vehicle. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
Recommended Action
Per NHTSA guidance
Hendrickson notified the one vehicle manufacturer that purchased the affected axles on May 24, 2016. That manufacturer is replacing the axles under recall 16V-421, free of charge. The recall began on May 16, 2016. Owners may contact Hendrickson customer service at 1-630-773-9111. Hendrickson's number for this recall is TB-H801.
