Carparts.com, Inc. (Carparts.com) is recalling certain Replacement, and Evan-Fischer Oil Filter Housings, part number RD31260001. The welded plugs inside the oil filter housing may not have a proper seal, which can result in an oil leak.
Reported concern (NHTSA)
An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine components, can increase the risk of a fire. Loss of oil can also result in the engine seizing, increasing the risk of a crash.
