Terex Advance is recalling certain 2016 TEREX ADVANCE MIXER FD4000 vehicles due to power train:axle assembly issues. If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasin.

Reason for Recall
As stated by NHTSA
Terex Advance (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Mixer FD3000, FD4000, and FD6000B vehicles manufactured August 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015, and equipped with drive axles manufactured by Marmon-Herrington. The affected axles may have hex nuts on the flange yoke that may not have been properly tightened.
Reported concern (NHTSA)
If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasing the risk of a crash.
Recommended Action
Per NHTSA guidance
Terex will notify owners and provide instructions to properly torque the bolts. The recall began on July 15, 2016. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-433-6691.
