Announce Recall of Kid's Sipper Bottles WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Walgreen Co., of Deerfield, Ill., is recalling about 40,000 Kid's Sipper Bottles. The bottles' caps can be pulled off, creating a potential choking hazard. CPSC and Walgreen are not aware of any injuries or incidents involving these bottles. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury. The Kid's Sipper Bottle is a 9-ounce rectangular bottle with one of four animal characters on the cap - a fish, frog, chicken (duck) or whale. The bottle includes a plastic belt clip on the back. The bottles' packaging includes the writing, "KID'S Sipper Bottle with belt clip," and "For Ages 18 Mos. & Up." The bottom of the bottle has a sticker reading, "MADE IN CHINA." Walgreens nationwide sold these bottles between March 1999 and April 1999 for $1.69 or two for $3. Consumers should stop using these bottles immediately, and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.
