The units involved are flashing pacifiers and flashing pacifiers with whistles. The pacifiers are clear or colored purple, blue, pink or green. The pacifiers have five flashing LED lights that are red and blue, red and light green and orange. Some pacifiers are sold with a rainbow cord that is attached to handles, and some cords have breakaway connectors. One pacifier has multi-colored beads on the cords in the shapes of barrels, trains, boats and various animals. Pacifiers were sold in clamshell packages. The packaging has a warning that states they are for "12+ Years" or "6+ Years." Some of the products have a warning on the packaging that they are not a real pacifier, but a practical joke. Shake 'n Jingle Keys, "Shake & Jingle Keys," "My Jingle Keys" all by The First Years and the John Deere "Real Keys" are toy keys, with three colored keys attached to a blue, red or green remote control with electronic features. Various colored buttons on the remote activate sounds. Only toy keys with the letter "F" in the date code stamp on the packaging and product are involved in the recall. The date code can be found on the back of the remote control. Toy keys with "TE" in the date code or yellow sides on the remote are not included in this recall.
The recalled kits include plastic ears, eyes, noses, mouth, hands, shoes, hats, eyeglasses and jewelry that are used to decorate Halloween pumpkins. The recall includes Mr. Potato Head "Make a Monster Pumpkin" and "Make a Fireman Pumpkin" and Mrs. Potato Head "Make a Diva Pumpkin." The products are labeled for ages 2 and older. Products with small parts intended for children under 3 years old are prohibited due to a choking hazard.
This recall involves the Baby Cookie Monster plush toy packaged with certain Sesame Beginnings Make Music Together DVDs. The blue plush toy has a small, felt fabric cookie attached to its hand. The plush toy and DVD are packaged in a yellow and green box with the words "Sesame Beginnings" and "Make Music Together" printed on the front. The product is labeled for children ages 6 months and up.
This recall involves "Suave" brand bath sets that contain a 2-in-1 shampoo, bath sponge, and various other toy animal and character bath products. The baths sets are packaged in brightly colored vinyl bags with a clear window. Style numbers involved in this recall are: SVK 9498, 9499, 9501, 9506, 9507 and 9508. The style numbers are located on the back and/or bottom right corner of the package, above the UPC code.
The recalled travel cot consists of an aluminum frame with four legs, that holds a fabric enclosure for a small child, with mesh windows on all sides and a zippered mesh opening on the top. The cot has big black labels on each long side with a white T in a red circle, as well as phil & teds logos on each short end.
The musical instrument is a wooden cylinder with end caps and wooden dowels connecting the caps. A single bell is in the middle. Model number 5-30-00740 is sold individually; Model number 0-06-09005 is sold as part of a kit called Busy Days Home, which also contains a board book, a compact disc and a poster. The model number is written on the outside packaging of the product.
This recall involves plastic cam hardware covers used to cover the hardware on the Homeroom bedroom collection. Sold in a natural stain maple veneer, the collection includes a bed, dresser, nightstand, toy chest and shelving systems.
IQ Baby Pillow Soft Activity Blocks are a set of 19 foam, cloth-covered blocks of various shapes with a plastic carrying case. Two of the blocks are car-shaped and have four 1-inch diameter plastic wheels with a black and white bull's eye pattern. Some cars have tags or labels that say "IQ Baby." IQ Baby Travelin' Train Blocks are a set of four brightly patterned stuffed cloth-covered vehicles, an engine and three cars that attach to each other with Velcro® connectors. Each piece is about 4 inches long, 2½ inches wide, and 3 inches tall, and has four 1-inch diameter plastic wheels with a black and white spoke pattern. Some pieces have tags or labels that say "IQ Baby." IQ Baby and Discovery Channel Vroom Vroom Vehicles are sets of six soft, stuffed, brightly colored trucks that come in a plastic carrying case. Each truck is about 5 inches long, 3 inches tall, and 2½ inches wide and has four 1-inch diameter plastic wheels with a black and white bull's eye pattern. Some of the trucks in the sets have labels that read "IQ Baby" or "Discovery Channel."
The recalled plastic toy guitar has a white face and red back with a green shoulder strap. There are multi-colored animal-face buttons on the front of the guitar including a chicken, a duck, a dog, a pig and a lamb. A label on the front of the guitar reads, "GUITAR SERIES JC856." "MADE IN CHINA" is embossed on the front of the battery cover on the back of the guitar. Packaging on the box reads in part, "Jie Cheng" and "NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS."
The recalled Reebok children's windsuits are full-zip boys' polyester jacket and pants sets with a cotton lining and the name "Reebok" and/or Reebok's Vector logo embroidered on the chest of the jacket. The suits were sold in eight different color combinations: orange/navy, light blue/royal blue, red/navy, yellow/gunmetal, yellow/navy, blue/navy, green/navy and red/black.
The recalled yo-yo toys are clear plastic with red, blue or green tinted sides and light up while in motion. The toys are about 2 inches in diameter and have "Ruby's Diner" printed on each side.
The recalled pacifiers are rubber nipples attached to a white or light blue plastic guard. The cardboard packaging has a picture of a baby, some toy blocks, a toy train engine and a diaper pin with a bear on it. The pacifiers are sold in packs of two. Writing on the front of the packaging includes, "Baby," "2 pack Pacifiers" and "BI194." The back of the packaging has an American flag and the writing, "AN AMERICAN COMPANY."
The recalled toy phone is made of wood. It has push buttons with black numbers, and has a black rubber antenna. The toy phone sits in a wooden caddy. The caddy has "TELEPHONE" printed on it.
The recalled toys are soft, stuffed yellow taxis, black and white police cars and red fire engines, each with four plastic wheels. They measure about 6 inches in length and 5 inches in width. The toys have a silver-colored button on top that makes sounds when pushed. The police car and the fire engine make a siren sound. The taxi makes engine and horn sounds. "Kids Preferred" is printed on an attached fabric tag.
The recall involves the Child Guidance "Busy Baby Activity Tool Pliers," which are about 6 inches long. The plastic toy has an orange handle, a red center knob and a yellow sliding knob on the side. The red center knob has "child GUIDANCE" written on it. The battery-operated toy makes various electronic sounds, plays music and has flashing lights. The pliers also contain multicolored beads. A label on the back reads, "RadioShack."
The recalled BRIO Pull-along Snail is made of wood. The body of the snail is painted red and it has yellow wheels. The toy has item number 30368 written on the packaging. The snail measures 6 inches long and 4.5 inches high with natural wood and spring antennae. On the back of the snail is a removable green bell rattle with a yellow swirl and multi-colored posts. The rattle measures 2.25 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. A BRIO logo is printed on the back end of the snail and a yellow cord is attached at the front.
My First Mobile phone is a red and blue flip style mobile phone with a yellow bear on the cover and a yellow hard plastic antenna. Inside the flip phone are five round orange numeric buttons, as well as a sun button. The phone sounds with various ring tones when the buttons are depressed. On the inside top cover on the phone is a mirror and a spinning star with a lady bug button. "Made in China" is printed on the back of the battery cover.

Announce Recall of Children's Toy Toolboxes WASHINGTON, D.C.- In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Racing Champions Ertl Inc. (RCE), of Dyersville, Iowa, is voluntarily recalling about 11,600 John Deere Kids Toolboxes. The toy's carrying handle can break, creating small parts and a sharp plastic edge that pose a choking and laceration hazard to young children. CPSC and RCE have not received any reports of injuries. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries. The children's toolbox is a soft-shelled, plastic, green box with a yellow handle and yellow raised letters that read "John Deere." A John Deere Kids logo with a fawn inside a red oval is imprinted on the front of the toolbox. The toolbox is sold with a green and yellow plastic ratchet wrench and pliers inside. Stamped on the bottom of the product is "JOHN DEERE LICENSED PRODUCT" and "MADE IN CHINA." All yellow-handled toolboxes are included in this recall. John Deere dealers and other farm supply retail stores nationwide sold the toys from June 2001 through September 2001 for about $13. Parents and caregivers should take the toy away from young children immediately and contact RCE at (866) 898-4999 anytime for instructions on returning these toys and receiving a free replacement toolbox. STK International Recalls Children's Toys NEWS from CPSC U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Office of Information and Public Affairs Washington, DC 20207 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 20, 2001 Release # 01-221 Toy Recall Hotline: (800) 536-7855 CPSC Consumer Hotline: (800) 638-2772 CPSC Media Contact: Nychelle Fleming, (301) 504-7063 CPSC, STK International Announce Recall of Children's Toys WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), STK International, of Los Angeles, Calif., is recalling about 110,000 children's toys. The toys can break causing small balls to be released, posing a choking hazard to young children. STK International and CPSC have not received any reports of incidents. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries. The following information will help consumers identify the recalled children's toys: "2 PC Tambourine Set": Two tambourines consisting of a colorful plastic ring with three balls attached. Inside of the balls are beads that create a rattle sound when shaken. On each side of the tambourine is a sticker with a female cartoon character and the number 985. "Bathtime Water Wheel": A multi-colored plastic toy with a suction cup base and six small cups attached to a water wheel. "Made in China NO:368" is printed on the back of the water wheel. "Funny Loco Wind-Up": A multi-colored train with a pig character on a sticker placed on both sides of the toy. "Made in China NO:883" is printed on the back of the train. "Pull Back Duck in Boat": A plastic blue and white boat with colored stickers on the side, a transparent red windshield, and white duck mounted on top of the boat. The toy also comes with a miniature fishing pole and a plastic lobster. A yellow sticker on boat reads, "My Baby Products" and "PULLBACK DUCKS IN BOAT, MADE IN CHINA." Dollar stores nationwide sold these toys from September 1999 through May 2001 for about $1. Consumer should take the toys away from children immediately, and return them to STK International for a full refund. Consumers should call STK International toll-free at (800) 536-7855 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday for information about where to send the toys. CPSC discovered the violations during an inspection of the company's warehouse.
