Safety Relief Valves (Omeca) – Pressure Failure (2002)

The valves are designed to relieve excess pressure in large propane tanks, typically the 500- to 1,000-gallon size ones. The valves, model 66-1031, are approximately 7 inches long. Writing on the valve reads "OMECA 66-1031." Only valves that contain year and batch codes of "99.02," "99.10", "99.16," "99.27," or "99.28" are included in the recall. The valves from these batch codes were installed on tanks that were refurbished or manufactured after May 1999.

Bicycle Stems (3T) – Defective Component (2002)

The recalled stems are black and have the model name 3T ZEPP XL printed in white on the sides of the body of the stem. The faceplate also has "3T" printed in white at the front of the stem. The stems were installed on 2002 and 2003 model year Cannondale bicycles. The recalled stems were manufactured in Italy by 3T (Tecno Tubo Torino) and distributed by parent company, Gruppo, SPA.

Gas Water Heaters (Bradford White) – 75-Gallon Models (2002)

The recalled water heaters are models: MIITW75T6EN12; MIITW75T6CX12; TW375S76E3N; and TW375S763X with serial number "YD" (all) through YE 1395234. The model and serial numbers are located on the heater rating plate and on the shipping carton label. The water heaters were manufactured in the United States.

Cable Set-Top Boxes (Motorola) – Unspecified Issue (2002)

These digital cable set-top boxes are black, about 17 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. "MOTOROLA" and "INTERACTIVE DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS" are written on the front of the units. The model number, "DCT2000" is written on the cover of the user guide that came with the box. Motorola's DCT2000 set-top box provides cable subscribers access to various digital, audio, and interactive TV services, including expanded channel counts; digital-quality video and audio; interactive program guides for viewing convenience and control; parental control; and virtual channels for community and local information.

Colonial Vinyl Deck Post Kit (Royal) – Structural Weakness (2002)

The recalled Royal Colonial Vinyl Deck Post Kit is intended for use with the Royal pre-built vinyl deck rail system. The 4-inch square post has a "lathe turned" design in the middle. A label with the words "Royal Outdoor Products" and "R008-45-136" is affixed to the bottom of each post. Each kit contains one post. The posts were made in Canada.

EVAC-U8 Emergency Escape Smoke Hoods – Safety Concern (2002)

This recall involves the EVAC-U8 emergency escape smoke hoods. The smoke hood is a bright green plastic cylinder with a clear red top. The cylinder is about 5 inches tall. The words "EVAC-U8 Emergency Escape Smoke Hood" are printed on the cylinder, along with the serial number and expiration date. Recalled smoke hoods have a serial number of A97,921 or higher, and an expiration date of May 1, 2002 or later.

Safety 1st Infant Car Seats (Dorel) – Carrier Repair Needed (2002)

The recalled car seats/carriers were sold under the Safety 1st and Beatrix Potter "Designer 22" brand names and were manufactured by Dorel Juvenile Group in the U.S. The seats were manufactured between January 3, 2002 and February 13, 2002. Only model numbers and color codes 02-621-SAL, 02-620-AZY and 02-620-BEA are included in this recall. The model number and manufacture date are located on the instruction and warning label on the side of the car seat/carrier.

Northridge Earthquake Valves (Seismic Safety) – Design Flaw (2002)

The recalled Northridge 2000 Earthquake Valves are about 3-1/2 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches high by 2 inches deep. The valves' bodies are made of aluminum and are coated with a blue color. The recalled valves have a white reset knob in the front that reads, "Northridge 2000 Valve" and a white label on the back that reads, in part, "Models M75 [or M100], ASCE 25-97, RR#5370, CSA-OSA, 2 PSI Max Gas Flow." These valves were manufactured in the United States.

The recall includes Power Plus automotive chargers that plug into automotive cigarette lighters, and Impact wrench kits containing these chargers. A label on the front of the charger reads, "Milwaukee...POWER-PLUS 9.6 Volt - 18 Volt AUTOMOTIVE CHARGERS." A nameplate on the back of the charger lists the catalog number. Impact wrench kits containing these chargers have serial numbers within the range listed below. The serial number is located on the side of the Impact wrench kit. Rocky Mountain Bicycles – Suspension Defect (2002)

This recall involves 16.5-, 18- and 19-inch Slayer and Edge full-suspension mountain bicycles. The Slayer model is black metallic with red decals on the top tube and downtube, that read "Slayer" and "Rocky Mountain." The Edge model is royal blue with yellow decals on the top tube and downtube, that read "Edge" and Rocky Mountain." "Made in Canada" is printed on decals on both model bicycles. Bicycles with the letter "S" stamped on the chainstay yoke are not involved in this recall.

Circular Saws (DeWALT) – Tool Malfunction (2002)

The recall involves 7 1/4-inch circular saws with the model numbers DW368, DW368K, or DW369CSK. The model number is located on a black label near the handle of the saw, or on a yellow sticker attached to the carrying case. The saws have date codes 200128-F through 200152- F stamped on the bottom of the motor case. The housing is yellow and the word "DeWALT" is printed on the upper blade guard. No other DeWALT circular saws are involved in this recall.

Water Dispensers (Crystal Mountain) – Design Problem (2002)

The Hot & Cold Water Dispenser is an upright water dispenser, with two faucets. One faucet has a red lever and one faucet has a blue lever. The unit stands at 35 5/8 inches high (89.525 cm), weighs 36.43 pounds (16.56 kgs) and has a base area of 120.5 square inches (777.41 cm2). To determine if the water dispenser is subject to this recall, the serial number plate is located on the back at the top of the water dispenser. Only water coolers with serial numbers between 1199125 and 1100175 are included in the recall. The third and fourth digits of the serial number represent the year of production. Approximately eighty percent of the water dispensers were sold in the United States.

The mowers have independently controlled rear-drive wheels, front casters, and a centrally mounted mowing deck. The brand and series names (Exmark Lazer Z HP) appear on the front of the mower. Some of these riding mowers previously were recalled in February 2001. Even if consumers previously had their riding mower repaired, they need to contact Exmark for this additional repair.

Some of these riding mowers previously were recalled in March 2001. Even if consumers previously had their riding mower repaired, they need to contact Toro for this additional repair. Toro Timecutter Z and Wheel Horse residential duty riding mowers are not part of this recall.
